Maneesha abhay started learning at a very early age of 7 years with her first guru Jaffar Mulla and at the age of 18 she started taking intense lessons from renowned Guru Dr Rohinitai Bhate……

She completed her Masters degree in kathak from Pune University, she has also received a diploma in Buddhist psychology and ethics. Maneesha Abhay has given an entirely new dimension to dancing. She is an accomplished dancer, guru whose facial expressions complement her dance and makes her performance simply outstanding. Her choreographic works have not only been well acclaimed in India, but are also highly praised all around India specially in Pune . She started giving training in Kathak through Sukruti kathak dance academy.

She has worked in collaboration with a number of prominent national and international musicians as well as dancers. Her notable works include ““Bacchhan recites Bacchhan “ on the poems by harivanshrai Bacchhan in front of legendary Amitabh Bacchhan “ Bodhisutra and Buddhist literature” for The Dalai Lama.

She has worked with other classical dancers as Pt Rajendra gangani, sharvari jamenis , Rujuta Soman and musicians like tabla artist Nikhil Phatak pakhavaj artist govind Bhilare noted music composers and acamedicians Dr chaitanya Kunte and Chinmay Kolhatkar. And she got awards like devdasi international award for consistency in the field of kathak.

She has been active in various workshops, seminars and performing arts such as :
